Bad Moon over Kemperbad

  On the 4th of May 2026, I ran the 13th sessions of my home Enemy Within Campaign.  An hour before noon, 8th of Nachexen, 2512, Kemperbad Diethard, makes a visit to  Blutwahler’s a well respected trader in fine brandy, squeasing into the store front barely wider than he is, and speaks with the man behind the counter. There is some discussion of price, and Diethard finally settles on a budget of a crown. He pays to have the dusty bottle sent to his opponent,  Udos Aschaffurt. Connie and Erik, wait nearby.  Thanks to a short lull in the blizzard, they are able to note that very few building have smoke coming from their chimneys.  Noon, 8th of Nachexen, 2512, Kemperbad The vagabond convene at the Court House to join the Gravin. On the 1st of May 2026, I ran the 12th sessions of my home Enemy Within Campaign. A belated May day to you all. Morning 6th of Nachexen, 2512, The Lorley.  Snow falls on the crew and passengers, including the Gravin (who has come aboard hoping to avoid further interference from D ammenblatz ), a small portion of her staff, Maria, and  Pompai. Ahead, the Lorley rise out of the water.  Josef puts Erik on the tiler for his first taste of a real navigation hazard, and calls on the vagabonds to help with the navigation. A very cold and sorry for himself looking  Diethard refuses however, and goes below to warm up. Connie meanwhile spots several threats and calls them out. So, with  Josef's tuition, Erik is able to just, shakily guide the ship through safely. A couple of hours later the barges pulls into  Achern. Some cargo is unloaded, other cargo taken on, including a passenger, one  Heinrich ‘The Grouch’ Marken.  The rest of the day is spend sailing ...

Upon their arrival in Altdorf, our Vagabonds will still have a some time before they need to be at the Coach and Horses on the 25th of  Jahrdrung 2512. Given that the Vagabonds are likely to arrive in Altdorf around the 12th of Nachexen. Meaning the Vagabonds have about 35 days. Five imperial weeks and change. However, 7 days of this is required to get the vagabonds to Delbren, and then the coach and horse from altdorf, so almost a week of that time is needed to get the PCs into position at the Coach and Horses.  That leaves 4 weeks to play with My aims There are a number of things I want to achieve with this time. This includes:  Downtime Embed character backstory here for each vagabond.  Establish Villains for later in the campaign Establish weirdness in the City.  On the 24th of April 2026, I ran the 11th sessions of my home Enemy Within Campaign. Nurgle and the Changer of Ways have both had their merry fun with us this last month or so, so sorry that their  hasn't been a post. 11:15 pm, 5th of Nachexen, 2512, The Three Feathers Inn, north of Stirgau.  Diethart and Erik are awakened by a knocking at the door to their room, Bleary-eyed they rouse themselves and got to the door, where they find one of the Gravin's staff at their door, with an invitation to speak with  Gustaf Rechtshandler, the Gravin's lawyer. The pair dress quickly, and make their way to the other wing of the Inn, where Gustaf explains he is being blackmailed by some of the other guests and asks the pair to deal with the issue, however, Rechtshandler is unwilling to share much detail on the nature of what he wants done, or why he is being blackmailed.  Even in the face of 20gp, Diethart and Erik decide that without more information t hey aren't willi...

On the 03 of April 2026, I ran the 10th sessions of my home Enemy Within Campaign. Evening, 4th of Nachexen, 2512 On board the Berebeli our heroes discuss their plan for stealing the figure head of the broadalbin and come to the conclusion that actually, this isn't the smartest plan. They have no one experienced with stealth on a river, no tool, and surely the noise of the tools will rouse the boat's watch. Instead, they set out for town to come up with a better idea, and get some liquid inspiration. Finding a pub in Grissenwald they grab a beer chat with the locals and try to come up with a plan. While the other are furnish Josef with a beer, Diethart falls in with a group of mercenaries on their way up river, and picks up some gossip.   On the 27 of March 2026, I ran the 9th sessions of my home Enemy Within Campaign. Morning, 3rd of Nachexen, 2512 Our vagabonds awaken early on the 3rd with vague ideas that they might have more work, but absolutely no certainty which offer they will take up.  Over porridge they discuss their options. Erik Kleinsen mentions he has people he'd like to visit in Kemperbad and points out that Josef's tutelage would be invaluable.   Diethart Drechsler points out that the patronage of a man like Oldenhaller might be valuable and that more coin is alway useful, but also points out that there are some really strong reasons for him to take the job guarding Maria Della Miragliano, he is particularly vocal about his opportunity to work as a guard to her person (I offered him a 0xp jump to the second rank of the guard career) .
