Planning: Travel out of Nuln (part 3)

 Keep rolling, rolling, rolling...

Onto the Ubersreik. The Vagabonds have a bit more 
choice here. While the Tilean song-bird has a 
preference for taking the stage coach, she is not wed 
to the idea, and if the Vagabonds are agents of Herr
 Oldenhaller, it is up to them to choose between stage
 and barge.

So first of all, we'll cover the stage coach route.

Nuln to Konigsdorf  (60 miles. +1 Fatigue)


It is bright brisk day as you set out on the road from Nuln to Konigsdorf. The fetter of the city leaves you in its wake quickly, the carriage thunders along some of the best roads in the empire.

Cost:   4/2(Roof)

Weather: Fair
Chill and bright, with a relatively warm southerly breeze that carries the barge along.

Encounter: Good Medicine
The Vagabonds encounter Doktor Anida Pflaster (See Enemy in Shadow, pg. 31), who is riding in the Stage coach with them. She will talk to each of the vagabonds in turn, assessing each. In a successful Int test, she considers them to be something other than a bore, and she will engage in discussion with them the whole trip. 

Any character who manages to make a good impression in this manner my, make a Heal check. If they succeed, Pflaster will remember them, and my in future offer them an apprenticeship. 

If any of the vagabonds are injured or have a disease, Pflaster will treat it, saying that it is only good manners to help a travelling companion. She charges only a shilling.

If none of the vagabonds prove of interest to Pflaster, and the are travelling with Maria della Miragliano, then the doctor and the Tilean Songbird strike up a fast friendship on the topic of opera.

Konigsdorf to Dunkelberg  (35 miles)

You wake to settled snow and a long day of travel. The rich farmland flies by with regular stops to change horses and a stop for lunch at a charming inn.

Weather: Snow (See Enemy in Shadows pg. 33)

Encounter: Orphan Whites
On the way into town, the vagabonds see dozens and dozens of children, all dressed in white, hanging out freshly bleached linin on drying frames in the pasture surrounding the town despite the slowly settling snow.

As they pull into town, they witness a shallyan pristess banging on the door of one of the larger houses in town. 

Dunkelberg to Stimmigen (38 miles, +1 Fatigue)

Deepening snow, biting cold and a long journey conspire to make the journey gruelling.

Encounter: A less than ideal nights rest
The three bells coaching inn is perhaps not the cleanest of Inns in the Empire. All characters spending the night here are exposed to  Packer’s Pox! See Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay pg. 187 


Stimmigen to The Dog and Pheasant (32 miles)

After days of snow, a slightly warmer day and a shorter journey is a welcome change, and the rise into the foothills of the grey mountains leads to many breath taking views.

Weather: Fair
Chill and bright, with a relatively warm southerly breeze that carries the barge along.

Encounter: The Princess known as Pea 
Pandora ‘Pea’ Lostpocket is travelling through the Vorbergland planning make her way to Bögenhafen for the  Schaffenfest. She takes the coach with them from Stimmigen, and will banter with the Vagabonds on the way. 

This ques up pea to appear later at the Schaffenfest. 

The Dog and Pheasant to Ubersreik (25 miles)

The road out of the foothills runs brings ubersreik into sight for a few momenet before the blizzard rushes in and obscures the town.

            4/2 (inside) 

Weather: Blizzard (See Enemy in Shadows pg. 33)

Encounter: Dashing through the snow.
Shortly after setting off, a storm rages in out of the north. The coach is slowed quickly, the driver must make a drive test. On a failure, the cart crashes. Judge the severity of the crash based on the degrees of failure. 

The vagabonds my have to make their way back to the Dog and Pheasant on foot. 

However, if they do, the are attacked on route by a band of Ungors that have used the cover of the blizzard to strike out from the forests that cover the foot hills of the gray mountains, at the lands of men.
